| So before I even tell the tale I would like you guys to provide me will any positive advice you may have towards saving the engine that I had out of the car after seeing this. Ok so around 3 O'clock Tues after noon (at work I was) this mad lightening storm came out of now where and made you think of Noah expecting the flood. I got off at around 11 and caught a ride with a buddy home. Took near two hours for me to get home after finding the closest drivable route and then finally deciding to walk the rest of the way. I walked about 5 blocks in thigh deep water to arrive home and find what you will see in the pictures below. This to my knowledge has only happened about 15 years ago and I was told not even as bad. The Z is still up on jack stands so that saved her.

No guys I dont have a garage I live in an apartment and this stuff has always been fine and rain free until now. Sucks right.
The auto trans that I had taken out.
This is the engine that I had pulled and was my spare to build one day.
The car was fine for the most part. I imagine 3-4 inches of water may have gotten inside if that much. But the seats were wet on the sides and the wooden board over the ECU gave a general indication. I pulled the computers that morning. Opened everything up and WD-40. They really didnt have water inside but I saw moisture. No battery was in the car. Took out the seats and pulled up the carpet getting it pretty much dry 5 hours later. I removed all of the padding under the carpet trying to keep it in one piece for the most part. Once its fully dried I'll reinstall it. Unless you guys think I should dynamat or whatever it is instead. I was thinking of pouring oil down into the spark plug holes on the engine and other places that may have gotten flooded and rotating it by hand. The engine in the car is fine (should be anyway) so I am referring to my spare. Let me know what you all think. Of course it will have to rebuild but I just want to keep it from seizing up and rusting inside. If I have to fully tear it down now so be it.
